Baby girl turned 2 months old on the 10th. Time for her 2 month photo shoot! (Month 1 HERE if you’d like to compare)
I love this one because of the face she’s making (obviously!) but also because you can see her bright, bright blue eyes. We know they could still change, but Corey and I are betting they don’t!
Photo shoots wear a girl out…
Aunt Whit and her family sent Dot a wonderful package. I am in LOVE with the bows! Glad it arrived in time for the shoot!
What do you think she’s dreaming about???
This one was taken later in the afternoon. Just try and look at it without smiling. I dare you!
And now for a good old-fashioned Dottie download. There were a bunch of pics I found that somehow never made it onto the blog. Let’s go ahead and get her current shall we? We’ll start with itty-bitty-baby ones. She doesn’t fit like on our arms like this anymore… 😦 Sad! I love how she felt all wrapped around my arm! We used to have pretty good success burping her like this:
Haha! The first month of her life she was most often making this face while sleeping. Daddy said she was “sleeping with conviction.” (PS- that car seat insert was made by my friend Rachel and it is awesome for a little winter baby girl!)
Awww… she’s lots bigger in this chair now too.
Okay, from here on out they are all from her 2nd month of life…
Aunt Shir, these next ones are for you! Cupcake on the bum… classic.
Dorothy has a wonderful awake stretch in the morning. She’s always happy and pleasant as can be….
Still having fun putting her in dresses and tights for church…
Dorothy Elizabeth is the best baby girl! Her disposition is almost always happy and calm. She soaks in the world around her with those big, beautiful blue eyes open wide, often with her eyebrows raised. She has started to smile at me consistently and it melts my heart every. single. time.
Dot has discovered her voice and sometimes makes darling coos if you are looking right into her eyes. The first time Dottie talked to Daddy he died, it was so cute! We both are surprised at just how girly she sounds already. We didn’t think it was possible, but it totally is! Although. Did I ever tell you about her deep-voiced cry she used to do? It was so, so darling! At night when she was fussy and crying she sometimes sounded like she was talking and telling us about it with these low, throaty, “waaaah,’s.” They really did sound much more like talking than crying. It was pretty much the cutest thing I’ve ever heard. You shouldn’t want your baby girl to be sad, but I couldn’t help but laugh when she talked to us like that!
Poor Dot has a fussy spell at night on and off between 6:30-9pm, but her version of fussy is super-mild, so you’ll hear no complaints from me! … especially since she’s sleeping like a champ these days! At night she’s sleeping from about 9pm-3am then after eating from about 3:30-6:30 or 7. Very doable!
Dottie is my little gal-pal. I want her with me all the time. Bless her for being so sweet and obliging in this hectic household she lives in! We all love her to pieces and are so glad she’s here!
